It seems everyone has a webpage these days - they're no longer just for the giants of the business world. That doesn't mean they're good. While using a product such as Microsoft Front Page will do all the coding for you, there are often problems with the code that results in slower loading pages (and slower editing times for the writers!). It's for this reason that hand-coding web pages - whether it be simple HTML, or backend PHP - are in the end very much worth the cost of time it takes to learn the language you're using (not to mention that you don't need to hire outside labor to work on your site).
